Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

Insurance does not cover what I do (for example: consultations, herbal medicine). Currently, insurance mainly covers certain pain-related codes for acupuncture. There are many acupuncturists in the Bay Area, who can work within the scope of insurance. If you would like a referral, feel free to contact me and ask.

Can you provide a superbill?

I am able to provide a superbill for the acupuncture portion of the treatment on a case-by-case basis. For these cases, patients upload the superbill to their insurance company and apply the amount to their deductible.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept all credit and debit cards (through Square), as well as Venmo, PayPal, and Zelle. You can use your HSA/FSA cards as well. Cash and checks are accepted, though cash needs to be exact change as I do not keep cash in the office.

How long will it take for me to get better?

This is a healing process, and I give my best to each session. However, there are many variables I cannot control, such as whether patients will incorporate the necessary lifestyle adjustments and whether mishaps happen that delay progress. Chronic health issues typically take patience and persistence for shifts to take place. In my time practicing medicine, I have seen some truly amazing changes in people's lives, but also cases where a more natural approach just wasn't what someone was able to adjust to. For this reason, I offer a complimentary (free) consultation for those who would like to discuss with me whether this approach is in alignment with you.
